Van Cleef & Arpels presents a new season of jewelry from the “Alhambra” collection. Continuing the iconic “Alhambra” design, the new pieces consist of rings, bracelets, necklaces and watches, subtly decorated in warm rose gold with slices of carnelian stones and guilloche work, the natural color of the stones and the light of the metal reflecting an elegant femininity. The natural color of the stones and the shimmer of the metal are a perfect match for the elegance of the woman.
The “Alhambra” collection was born in 1968, with the Alhambra motif inspired by the pattern of the brick walls of the “Alhambra” in Spain, a symbol of good luck. The new collection is based on custom-cut “carnelian”, a translucent stone with a saturated red color symbolizing joy and happiness, considered by the ancient Egyptians as a symbol of vitality. The traditional “guilloche” technique is used to create a radial pattern of leaves, giving the sparkle of diamonds, while the clover’s edges are set with the classic ball-setting technique to create a three-dimensional visual effect.
Four pieces are presented, a ring, a bracelet, a necklace and a watch – the most ingenious is the ring piece, featuring a reversible ring design first applied to the “Alhambra” collection, with two sides decorated with carnelian and guilloche, which can be freely chosen according to the wearer’s preference; the necklace features a double-loop structure, consisting of a total of The necklace features a double-loop structure composed of 20 four-leaf clover links, paying tribute to the first Alhambra long necklace launched in 1968.

The four new Alhambra creations aglow with tender harmonies by combining the intense reflections of guilloché rose gold with the dazzling nuances of carnelian.
These elegant variations gracefully alternate the motifs by associating the soft glow of rose gold with the warm hue of carnelian.
